Job Summary:
We are looking for a Cost Calculation & Quotation Preparation Officer to prepare accurate product cost estimates and customer quotations for manufacturing projects. The candidate will work closely with Sales, NPD, Production, Purchase, and Finance to ensure competitive pricing and timely submission of quotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare product cost calculations based on drawings, BOM, and manufacturing processes.
- Prepare and submit customer quotations and RFQ responses.
- Analyze raw material, machining, tooling, processing, and overhead costs.
- Coordinate with Purchase for supplier quotations and material pricing.
- Work with NPD, Production, and PPC to validate manufacturing costs.
- Maintain costing databases and quotation records.
- Review cost variances and recommend cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure timely submission of accurate quotations to customers.
- Prepare MIS reports related to costing and quotations.
Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or B.Com/MBA with relevant manufacturing experience.
- 3–7 years of experience in costing, estimation, or quotation preparation in a manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of BOM, product costing, RFQ, quotation preparation, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes.
- Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
