About Datameris Launchpad
Datameris Launchpad is a professional learning and career-development platform built on practical learning, mentorship, real-world projects, and measurable career outcomes.
We are past the point of proving the product. The next stage is building a revenue engine that is predictable rather than lucky.
The Mandate
You will own Launchpad's admissions and revenue engine end to end — the process, the team, the CRM, the forecast, and the number.
One question defines the role:
Can you build a predictable, high-performing and scalable revenue engine for Datameris Launchpad?
Everything below is in service of that.
What You'll Own
1. The complete funnel
Lead → Contact → Qualification → Counselling → Follow-up → Application → Admission → Payment → Revenue.
You'll measure conversion at every stage, find where prospects drop and diagnose why, and enforce the discipline that every qualified lead has a status, an owner, a next action, a follow-up date, and a documented outcome. You'll also set and hold speed-to-lead standards, and build re-engagement systems for aged and dormant leads.
No opportunity should disappear because of weak follow-up.
2. The team
Recruit, train, coach and manage business development executives, admission counsellors, senior counsellors and team leads — and develop the next layer of sales managers from within.
That means daily pipeline reviews, weekly performance reviews, one-on-ones, call audits, and objection-handling sessions. The goal is a team that understands both its numbers and the specific behaviours that move them.
3. The sales operating system
Build a structured, measurable way of working — and make the CRM tell the truth. Lead source, stage, qualification, counselling status, follow-up history, next action, lost reason, payment status, expected close date.
From that, build a forecast leadership can rely on: expected revenue, likely admissions, pipeline value and coverage, closing probability, salesperson-wise pipeline, lead ageing, payment commitments, and risks to the monthly target. Forecast from pipeline data, not from optimism.
Leadership should understand sales performance from a dashboard, not from a verbal update.
4. Conversion
Move the rates that matter: lead-to-contact, contact-to-qualified, qualified-to-counselling, counselling-to-enrolment, and lead-to-paid-admission.
Get into the actual conversations — opening, need discovery, program presentation, value communication, objection handling, follow-up, closing, payment. Then build and keep improving the assets that scale what works: scripts, counselling frameworks, follow-up sequences, WhatsApp and email cadences, objection playbooks.
5. Marketing alignment and unit economics
Close the loop with marketing across the full chain:
Spend → Leads → Qualified Leads → Counselling → Admissions → Revenue → CAC → ROAS
Give marketing structured feedback on lead quality and intent, campaign and audience performance, geographic patterns, program positioning, prospect objections and competitor signals , so they can optimise for revenue rather than lead volume.
You'll also work with leadership on pricing, scholarships, payment plans, instalments, conversion offers and referral incentives. Recommendations should be driven by conversion and margin data, not by discounting to hit a target.
6. New revenue channels
Build beyond direct inbound: college and university partnerships, placement and corporate learning tie-ups, referral networks, community partnerships, workshops and events. Partnerships count when they produce measurable leads and revenue.
How Success Is Measured
Primary
- Monthly and quarterly collected revenue, and target achievement %
- Paid admissions and average revenue per enrolment
- Lead-to-paid-admission %
- Customer Acquisition Cost
Operating health
- Stage-wise conversion across the funnel
- Speed-to-lead, average sales cycle, follow-up compliance, lead ageing
- Revenue and admissions per salesperson
- % of team achieving target; new-hire ramp-up time; team retention
- Forecast accuracy and pipeline coverage
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 6–10+ years in sales, with time in EdTech, professional education, upskilling, career programs or training
- Managed a sales or admission counselling team and carried a revenue target
- Worked high-volume inbound lead funnels with real CRM and pipeline discipline
- Selling programs in the ₹50,000–₹2,00,000+ range is a strong advantage
How you work
- Data-driven — you reason about performance in metrics, not impressions
- Accountable — you own outcomes rather than explain them
- A coach — you can listen to a call, name the weakness, and fix it with the person
- Process-oriented — you build repeatable systems instead of relying on heroics
- Commercially sharp — you think in conversion, CAC and unit economics
- Consultative — you keep the sales process honest, because learners are making a career decision
- Comfortable with tools — CRM, dashboards, call analytics, automation, AI-assisted sales systems
The most important thing: your numbers
We weigh demonstrated outcomes far above job titles. Come prepared to talk about:
- Size of team managed
- Monthly leads handled and average ticket size
- Monthly revenue owned
- Conversion rates, before and after you touched them
- Target achievement and revenue growth delivered
- A specific funnel problem you diagnosed and fixed
What This Role Is Not
This is not an administrative sales-management post — distributing leads, running the morning meeting, chasing the team for follow-ups, and forwarding the monthly number upward.
We need someone who can explain why the numbers are moving, and decide what changes when they aren't.
To Apply
Send your CV to [email protected] with a short note covering the numbers above. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to walk through one revenue engine they built or rebuilt, in detail.
