About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Lead Onco Psychologist to lead our psycho-oncology team and ensure the delivery of high-quality psychological care for cancer patients and caregivers. This role involves managing team operations, mentoring psychologists, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the psycho-oncology team.
- Oversee daily team operations and patient case allocations.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and ethical standards in patient counseling and psychological care.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and clinical supervision to the psychology team.
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide counseling for complex or high-priority patient cases.
- Strengthen patient engagement and improve overall patient outcomes through evidence-based interventions.
- Develop and implement best practices, SOPs, and quality improvement initiatives for psychological services.
- Collaborate with oncologists, care coordinators, dietitians, patient navigators, and other cross-functional teams to deliver holistic patient care.
- Monitor team performance, patient engagement metrics, and service quality, and prepare periodic reports.
- Drive training and continuous learning initiatives for the psychology team.
- Work on scientific research, paper publications, and present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in psycho-oncology.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Psycho-Oncology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in psychology or psycho-oncology, with experience in team leadership or people management preferred.
- Experience working with cancer patients, chronic illness, or palliative care settings is highly desirable.
