A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in assigned areas such as hotels, offices, hospitals, or private homes. They ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests, residents, or employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Make beds and change linens.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture.
- Replenish toiletries, towels, and other supplies.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items to supervisors.
- Follow health and safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
- Respond promptly to guest or customer requests, where applicable.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
