Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to handle the movement, loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished goods within the factory premises. The ideal candidate should have experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment while adhering to all safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials within the factory and warehouse.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently while ensuring product safety.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials as per warehouse standards.
- Perform daily inspection and basic maintenance checks of the forklift before operation.
- Report any mechanical issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while operating the forklift.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, and Dispatch teams for timely material movement.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the work area.
- Assist in stock movement and inventory-related activities whenever required.
- Ensure accurate handling of materials to avoid damage and wastage.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Valid Forklift Operator Licence/Certification (preferred).
- Good knowledge of forklift safety practices and warehouse operations.
- Ability to handle heavy materials safely and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of inventory and material handling processes.
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts if required.
- Responsible, disciplined, and safety-oriented.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the Packaging, Plastic, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Logistics industry.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse documentation and inventory handling.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
