We are seeking an analytical, dynamic, and dedicated Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics to join our senior secondary faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching advanced mathematics concepts to Grades 11 and 12, preparing them for board examinations as well as competitive engineering and university entrance exams. Because this is a residential role, the selected candidate will also play a key part in our pastoral care team, conducting mandatory evening hostel classes and supporting the academic growth of our boarders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Teaching Duties Deliver high-quality, conceptual, and engaging Mathematics lectures to senior secondary students (Grades 11 & 12) in alignment with the curriculum.
2. Train students in complex mathematical concepts, including Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, and Probability, ensuring they develop strong problem-solving skills.
3. Prepare students rigorously for board examinations, mock tests, and competitive entrance exams (like JEE Main/Advanced or other state-level exams).
4. Incorporate digital teaching aids, mathematical software, and practical demonstrations where applicable to simplify abstract concepts.
5. Regularly evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and quizzes, maintaining meticulous records of progress.
2. Hostel & Residential Responsibilities Hostel Classes:
Conduct mandatory evening preparatory, revision, and remedial math sessions for boarders to clarify doubts, guide homework, and provide extra focus on weaker areas.
Pastoral Care:
Assist the Hostel Warden/Housemaster in maintaining discipline, monitoring student well-being, and ensuring a safe, structured environment in the residential blocks.
Mentorship:
Serve as a dedicated mentor to residential students, providing guidance, emotional support, and monitoring their holistic development.
Campus Life:
Participate in and supervise evening meals, weekend activities, and campus events as part of the residential faculty rotation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Master’s Degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics from a recognized university, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
Experience:
A minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience handling senior secondary math classes, preferably in a reputed residential school.
Experience coaching for competitive exams is a distinct advantage.
Skills:
