Job Summary
The Store Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the coffee store, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining product quality, and leading the shift team to deliver an outstanding café experience. This role supports operational efficiency, staff performance, inventory control, and compliance with company standards while contributing to the achievement of sales and profitability goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure smooth opening, shift handover, and closing procedures.
- Monitor cash handling, POS transactions, and daily reconciliation.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, SOPs, and operational standards.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a welcoming café environment.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
- Build customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Ensure prompt and accurate order preparation and service.
Team Supervision
- Lead, motivate, and supervise baristas and store team members during shifts.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance.
- Coach employees on service standards, beverage preparation, and operational procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels throughout the shift.
Sales & Performance
- Support the achievement of daily and monthly sales targets.
- Promote beverages, food items, seasonal offerings, and loyalty programs.
- Monitor sales trends and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Encourage upselling and cross-selling to increase average transaction value.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and report replenishment requirements.
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Minimize wastage through proper stock rotation and inventory control.
- Ensure ingredients and supplies are stored according to food safety standards.
Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure beverages and food products meet company quality standards.
- Monitor consistency in coffee preparation and presentation.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate timely maintenance.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete daily operational reports and shift documentation.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and shift scheduling compliance.
- Assist management in implementing promotions and operational initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a café, coffee chain, QSR, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory or shift leadership experience is preferred.
