Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Architect at Thikedaar.Com in Patna. Their role is to assist in the design and development of architectural projects, including drafting, planning, and coordinating various project elements.
Responsibilities
Design Support:
- Assisting in the creation of architectural designs, drawings, and models using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
- Developing 2D and 3D visualizations to represent architectural concepts.
- Participating in design discussions and contributing creative solutions.
Drafting and Documentation:
- Preparing detailed construction drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Creating floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed schematics of architectural elements.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other team members to ensure designs align with project requirements.
- Coordinating with other disciplines like structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
Research and Material Selection:
- Researching building materials, construction techniques, and sustainable design solutions.
- Assisting in the selection of materials, finishes, and fixtures that align with the design intent.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensuring designs adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
- Assisting in obtaining permits and necessary approvals from local authorities.
Site Visits:
- Visiting construction sites to monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to plans.
- Identifying any issues or discrepancies and reporting them to senior architects.
Client Communication:
- Supporting senior architects in client meetings by preparing presentations and documentation.
- Communicating design updates or changes under the direction of senior team members.
Learning and Development:
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest architectural trends, tools, and technologies.
- Attending training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in architecture.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Strong understanding of architectural principles and construction methods.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team and take direction from senior staff.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
