HVAC CAD Designer
Role Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented HVAC CAD Designer to produce accurate 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and fabrication details for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Drafting: Create HVAC system layouts, ductwork, piping, and equipment details using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar CAD software
- Coordination: Work with HVAC engineers, architects, and MEP teams to ensure designs meet project specs, codes, and clash-free BIM models
- Load Calculations Support: Assist engineers with basic heat load calculations, equipment sizing, and air distribution planning
- Documentation: Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, BOQs, and submittals for client/contractor approval
- Standards Compliance: Ensure designs follow ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, and local building codes
- Revisions: Update drawings based on site feedback, RFIs, and design changes
Requirements
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting certification
- Experience: 1-5 years in HVAC drafting/design, MEP consultancy, or contracting firm
- Software Skills: AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, MS Office. Knowledge of HAP, Duct Sizer, or Pipe Sizer is a plus
- Knowledge: Duct sizing, piping layouts, equipment scheduling, airflow basics, and reading architectural/structural plans
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred
- Experience with BIM Level 2 projects and clash detection
- Familiarity with VRF/VRV systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs
- Site exposure or field coordination experience
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
