- Operate and monitor gas-fired boilers as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of boiler systems.
- Monitor boiler parameters including steam pressure, temperature, water level, gas pressure, and fuel consumption.
- Maintain boiler logbooks, operation records, fuel consumption reports, and water treatment logs.
- Inspect burners, gas trains, safety valves, pressure switches, flame sensors, and control panels.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the maintenance team.
- Monitor feed water pumps, softeners, deaerators, condensate return systems, and associated equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of boiler house equipment and report abnormalities immediately.
- Ensure compliance with statutory boiler regulations and safety standards.
- Support annual boiler inspections, testing, calibration, and certification activities.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions within the boiler plant.
- Follow all safety procedures related to gas handling, hot work, emergency shutdown, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE compliance.
Qualifications
- ITI (Fitter, Mechanical, Electrical, Boiler Operator) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Valid Boiler Attendant Certificate (Mandatory).
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience as a Gas Fired Boiler Operator.
- Experience in Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Precast, Cement, Infrastructure, Industrial Plants, or Utility Operations is preferred.
- Experience operating high-pressure gas-fired boilers will be an added advantage.
