Job Summary
Rohan Corporation is seeking an experienced Horticulturist to manage and maintain landscaping, gardens, green spaces, and plantation activities across our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring healthy plant growth, maintaining aesthetic landscapes, and leading horticulture operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and maintain landscapes, gardens, lawns, trees, and ornamental plants.
- Supervise daily horticulture and gardening activities across project sites.
- Monitor plant health and implement pest, disease, and weed control measures.
- Manage irrigation systems, watering schedules, and soil health programs.
- Recommend suitable plant species based on climate, soil, and project requirements.
- Oversee pruning, trimming, fertilization, transplantation, and seasonal plantation activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement of plants, fertilizers, tools, and horticulture materials.
- Lead and train gardeners, supervisors, and landscaping staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance of green belts, parks, avenue plantations, and common areas.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, reports, and budgets for horticulture operations.
- Implement sustainable horticulture practices and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, Botany, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or estate management.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, pest management, and landscape maintenance.
- Experience in residential, township, hospitality, or real estate projects preferred.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
