We are looking for an experienced Steward with a background in the hotel or restaurant industry, who is passionate about maintaining high standards of hygiene and supporting back-of-house operations in a dynamic and premium environment. Candidate will be an integral part of the Café operations team at Manam, ensuring smooth service and contributing to a refined customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
v Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas.
v Clean and sanitize all utensils, dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment in compliance with FSSAI and internal hygiene protocols.
v Assist kitchen and service staff during operations by organizing and replenishing ingredients, crockery, and cutlery.
v Support in basic food preparation and plating if required.
v Ensure proper garbage disposal and segregation as per sustainability guidelines.
v Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform supervisor of replenishment needs.
v Help set up and break down service areas before and after operations.
v Handle cleaning and upkeep of restrooms and common guest areas.
v Follow SOPs and health & safety standards at all times.
v Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries; ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO method).
Education/ Qualification:
v Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management from a recognized institute.
Experience:
v 2 to 5 years of experience as a steward or in a similar role in premium hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or high-end cafés.
Skills:
v Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen sanitation protocols.
v Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and back-of-house workflows.
v Good communication and interpersonal skills.
v Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
v Strong sense of teamwork and professionalism.
