Hotel Cashier
We are looking for a cashier is a primary customer-facing professional responsible for processing payments, managing point-of-sale (POS) systems, and ensuring accurate financial transactions in retail, hospitality, or service environments. Their duties involve greeting customers, scanning items, balancing drawers, and providing excellent service.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Operate cash registers, barcode scanners, and credit/debit card terminals to calculate totals and process cash, card, or digital payments.
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, answer product or pricing inquiries, handle merchandise returns or exchanges, and resolve complaints professionally.
- Financial Reconciliation: Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of a shift, track transactions, and generate daily sales or balance reports.
- Station Maintenance: Keep the checkout and register areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (like bags and receipts).
Core Requirements and Skills
- Math & PC Literacy: Strong basic math skills to calculate discounts, coupons, and provide exact change.
- Communication: Clear interpersonal and verbal skills to interact with diverse customers and collaborate with team members.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy when handling revenue and verifying pricing to avoid till discrepancies.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, or lift moderate weights for extended periods depending on the shift length.
- Qualifications: Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent, accompanied by prior customer service or cash-handling experience
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
