Key Responsibilities
- Plan and track preventive maintenance schedules for all 80 trucks to minimize breakdowns
- Coordinate with service centers, mechanics, and spare parts/tyre vendors; negotiate rates and quality
- Monitor GPS/fleet tracking systems for route efficiency, idle time, and unauthorized usage
- Manage driver scheduling and deployment to match trip/load requirements
- Track fuel consumption, mileage, and per-truck operating costs
- Investigate and resolve breakdowns and repair delays quickly to reduce downtime
- Monitor driver performance and safety compliance
- Prepare MIS reports — vehicle-wise cost, downtime %, utilization, fuel efficiency
- Recommend vehicles for replacement/major overhaul based on cost-benefit tracking
Mandatory Qualifications
- Graduate
- 5+ years of experience managing maintenance/operations for a fleet of 20+ trucks
- Working knowledge of truck maintenance basics — engine, tyres, common breakdown causes (to evaluate vendor quotes)
- Experience with fleet management/GPS tracking software
- Strong vendor negotiation skills
- Experience managing/scheduling a team of drivers
- MS Excel for cost tracking and reporting
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
