The One-Liner
We're looking for a video editor with taste - someone who can turn a founder's raw, unscripted life into content that feels premium, honest, and impossible to scroll past. This isn't a brand-reels job. This is a personal brand job.
Why This Role Exists
Burger or Chai's public voice is loud, mass, Hinglish - and it works for the brand. This role is different on purpose. It sits with the Founders (not the brand page) and builds a separate, more elevated visual language around the people behind the business: day-in-the-life, building-in-public, the unglamorous and glamorous sides of running a food-tech company from Mumbai. Think less "viral QSR reel," more modern founder-vlog - the kind of content that makes investors, franchise partners, and future hires trust the person, not just the pitch deck.
What You'll Actually Do
- Long-form (YouTube): Cut day-in-life vlogs, franchise site visits, kitchen/BTS, travel, pitch prep — real story arcs with pacing, not just a highlight reel.
- Short-form (Instagram/Shorts): Slice long-form into standalone verticals, and build short-form-native concepts from scratch.
- Hooks: Write and cut for the first 2–3 seconds — pattern interrupts, on-screen text hooks, cold opens. You should be able to explain why a hook works, not just copy one.
- Sound & color: Music selection, sound design, and a consistent color grade that reads as "classy modern," not "meme-y."
- Motion & titles: Clean lower-thirds, minimal kinetic type — restraint over noise.
- Calendar coordination: Work around the Founders' actual schedule (travel, outlet visits, meetings) to plan shoot-and-post windows.
- Occasional shooting (gimbal/phone) when there's no separate videographer on-site — not the core job, but a strong plus.
Must-Haves
- 3+ years editing content that centers a real person (vlogs, founder content, creator work) — not just polished brand ads.
- Fluent in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; comfortable in CapCut for fast turnarounds.
- A working understanding of retention curves and how YouTube/Instagram actually reward (or punish) pacing.
- Can take messy, unscripted, non-studio footage and find the story in it.
- Fast: 6 hr turnaround on shorts, 1–2 days on long-form.
- A portfolio that shows taste - not just technical competence.
Nice-to-Haves
- After Effects / motion graphics.
- Basic shooting skills — you can be trusted with a gimbal.
- You already watch founder/entrepreneur content (building-in-public creators, business vlogs) as a genre, not just as inspiration.
- Comfortable with discretion — this is personal and sometimes family content.

- You'd rather make one clean cut than five flashy ones.
- You have opinions about pacing and you can defend them.
- You're excited by "boring" raw footage because you know where the story is hiding in it.
- You want ownership of a visual identity from day one, not a style guide handed to you.
Tools
Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, After Effects (bonus), basic color tools, royalty-free/licensed music libraries.
Location & Logistics
- Based out of Andheri West, Mumbai (Lower Oshiwara, Veera Desai Industrial Estate).
- Occasional travel to Sion/Nagpur outlets or the D2C warehouse for shoot days.
- Reports to the Founders directly, with close coordination with the marketing/content team.
