Job Summary
The Store Incharge is responsible for managing all store activities at the construction site, including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables. The role ensures timely availability of materials for smooth project execution while maintaining accurate stock records.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and verify construction materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
Maintain proper records of inward and outward material movement.
Issue materials to site teams against authorized material requisitions.
Monitor stock levels and inform management about material shortages.
Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage and preservation of cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, and other construction materials.
Coordinate with the Purchase Department for material requirements and deliveries.
Maintain records of tools, machinery, and site equipment issued to workers and contractors.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the store area.
Support internal and external audits related to inventory and materials.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate or Diploma in any discipline.
3–5 years of experience as a Store Incharge in the construction or real estate industry.
Knowledge of construction materials and inventory management.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/software for stock management.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
