Key Responsibilities
- Plan lessons based on the school curriculum for 6th, 10th, and 8th grades.
- Teach concepts like rational numbers, simple equations, ratios, and basic geometry clearly.
- Create quizzes and tests to check what students have learned.
- Grade homework and exams, and give helpful feedback to students.
- Help students who struggle with hard topics during extra help time.
- Manage classroom behavior so all students can learn in a quiet and safe space.
- Talk with parents at meetings to share how their children are doing in class.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education (B.Ed.), or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience teaching middle school math is preferred.
- Skills: Good speaking skills, patience, and the ability to make numbers fun and easy to understand.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with middle school math standards and basic computer skills for online grading tools.
