The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining business data across company systems. The role supports the sales, procurement, dispatch, and management teams by ensuring timely and error-free data entry, enabling smooth business operations and reliable reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter customer enquiries received through various channels into the company's records.
- Prepare and update quotation data, purchase orders, sales orders, and other business documents.
- Maintain customer, supplier, product, and pricing databases.
- Update stock-related information as instructed by the inventory or sales team.
- Record dispatch details, invoices, payments, and other transaction data accurately.
- Scan, organize, and maintain digital copies of important documents.
- Verify data before entry to minimize errors and duplication.
- Generate daily reports and assist in preparing MIS reports.
- Coordinate with Sales, Dispatch, Accounts, Purchase, and Management for required information.
- Maintain confidentiality of company data and customer information.
- Ensure all entries are completed within the prescribed turnaround time.
- Perform other administrative and data management tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
- Diploma or certification in Computer Applications is an advantage.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in data entry, office administration, or back-office operations.
- Freshers with excellent computer skills may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Fast and accurate typing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.
- Basic understanding of ERP software or business management software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Basic communication skills in English and Hindi.

- Data accuracy of 99% or higher.
- Timely completion of assigned entries.
- Zero loss of business records.
- Daily updates completed within defined timelines.
- Proper maintenance of digital records and files.
- Minimal corrections required due to data entry errors.
