Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced CNC, VMC, and HMC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain machining programs for precision-manufactured components. The candidate will be responsible for creating CNC programs, selecting tooling, improving cycle times, supporting machine setup, and ensuring production quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for VMC (Vertical Machining Center), CNC Turning Centers, and HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and customer specifications.
- Generate machining programs using CAM software.
- Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Conduct prove-out and validation of new programs on machines.
- Optimize cycle times and machining processes to improve productivity.
- Support machine operators and setup technicians during production.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
- Ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Develop setup sheets, tool lists, and process documentation.
- Implement process improvements to reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance departments.
- Follow safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC Turning, VMC, and HMC machining operations.
- Proficiency in G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar CNC controllers.
- Knowledge of tooling, cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds.
- Understanding of machining materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, and alloys.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Tool Engineering, or related field.
- ITI with significant CNC programming experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in CNC/VMC/HMC programming and machining.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, precision engineering, or machine shop environments preferred.
