Job Summary
We are looking for a technically skilled and innovative R&D Executive to join our Beverage Manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for developing new beverage products, improving existing formulations, conducting product trials, evaluating raw materials, and supporting the production team during commercialization.
The role requires strong knowledge of beverage formulation, food safety, quality standards, laboratory testing, and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, formulate, and optimize carbonated beverages, fruit juices, fruit-based beverages, flavored milk, milkshakes.
- Conduct laboratory, pilot-scale, and production trials and troubleshoot formulation and processing issues.
- Conduct sensory evaluation and optimize products based on taste, appearance, texture, stability, and consumer requirements.
- Support production-scale trials, product commercialization, and process optimization.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards during ongoing production, ensuring products meet approved specifications and quality requirements.
- Perform and coordinate in-process and finished-product quality checks, including parameters such as pH, °Brix, acidity, appearance, flavor, carbonation, and other relevant quality parameters.
- Monitor the production floor and stock of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other R&D/production-related materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records, inventory documentation, material usage records, and production-related documents.
- Regularly monitor stock levels and inform the manager in advance whenever critical ingredients or materials are running low to avoid production interruptions.
- Coordinate with Procurement/Management for material requirements and ensure timely availability of ingredients and other production materials.
- Communicate with ingredient suppliers to obtain product information, specifications, pricing, availability, and Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).
- Coordinate with flavor suppliers to explore and source new flavors, samples, and innovative flavor profiles for trials and new beverage development.
- Evaluate new ingredients and flavors through laboratory trials and recommend suitable materials for product development.
- Maintain and update supplier quotations, purchase-related quotations, invoices, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation for daily production activities, production trials, quality checks, stock movement, material consumption, and R&D activities.
- Prepare and maintain formulation sheets, batch records, trial reports, product specifications, BOMs, quality records, and other relevant documentation.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, Stores, and suppliers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Identify production or quality deviations and coordinate corrective actions with the concerned team.
- Support cost optimization, ingredient substitution, supplier evaluation, and formulation improvement while maintaining product quality.
- Ensure R&D and production activities follow applicable FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
- Support new product development from concept to Commercialization.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
