Job Purpose
To manage production planning & control (PPC) activities while ensuring strict compliance with in the CTC department, enabling timely delivery of defect-free products as per customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Control (PPC):

Prepare and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production plans for the CTC department based on customer orders, machine capacity, and raw material availability.

Coordinate with purchase, stores, and production teams to ensure timely material availability.

Track WIP (Work-In-Progress) across all stages–slitting, paper covering, transposition, curing, finishing, and dispatch.

Identify production bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions to achieve optimum capacity utilization.

Monitor and report actual vs. planned production, delays, and corrective measures.
Support management in order scheduling and delivery commitments.
2. Material Management

Coordinate with the stores and purchase team to ensure timely availability of raw materials like copper rods & Strips, enamel, and insulation papers.

Monitor consumption patterns and manage buffer stocks to avoid production stoppages.
3. Shop Floor Coordination

Communicate the daily production plan to the shop floor team and follow up on execution.

Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to plan and quality standards.

Address and resolve production bottlenecks or delays in real-time.
4. Data Management & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of production outputs, downtime, and rejections.

Generate MIS reports for production performance, capacity utilization, and plan adherence.
6. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with inter-department teams (Sales, Quality, Maintenance, Dispatch, Stores) for smooth workflow.

Attend daily review meetings and present PPC updates.
Key Skills & Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of copper & aluminium CTC manufacturing processes.

Understanding of PPC practices, capacity planning, and ERP systems.

Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and electrical conductor testing.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Diploma/BE - Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and other relevant Qualification
- 4 – 10 years of relevant experience in PPC in CTC, winding wire, or conductor manufacturing industry.
