Description
We are seeking hands on BI Data Engineer Manager to lead a team of data engineers and Tableau developers responsible for building and managing data pipelines and tableau solutions to deliver efficient analytical and reporting capabilities.
This role will be part of the Global Business Operations team, with a particular focus on Retail Contact Center performance and decision support.It will have a direct role in shaping the data and reporting infrastructure of the Retail Customer Care organisation. The role requires understanding of data architecture, data engineering and Tableau skillsets to develop and own reporting for contact center performance metrics and analytics.
Lead and develop the team data engineers and Tableau developers, with comprehensive understanding of data architecture, Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) processes and data visualisation best practices. Have full ownership of developing, enhancing and maintaining data pipelines, Tableau Dashboards and their schedules along with strong understanding of database concepts and SQL
- Set technical direction and own delivery accountability for retail contact centre data infrastructure and reporting solutions
- Architect generic, reusable solutions that adhere to data warehousing best practices while addressing complex business requirements
- Guide team in analyze and optimize the existing data pipelines, data structures and tableau solutions, providing enhancements and ongoing support as needed
- Uphold the highest standards of data integrity, ensuring reliable and accurate outputs
- Partner closely with stakeholders to understand and translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions meeting data warehousing and Tableau solution design standards

Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of professional experience in operations, analytics, management consulting, corporate strategy, or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, mathematics, statistics, economics or other quantitative area, Master Degree a plus
Strong knowledge of Python preferred
Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to balance multiple projects and meet timelines.
Experience in Snowflake AI and Tableau AI is preferred
Experience developing relationships with senior collaborators
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience managing teams of data engineers and Tableau developers/analysts
8+ years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles with demonstrated ability to lead & develop a team of data engineers and Tableau developers - including hiring, performance management, and career development
Demonstrated expertise building and maintaining complex data pipelines, strong technical foundation in SQL, scheduling jobs and Tableau reporting solutions
Excellent knowledge of database concepts, data structures and extensive hands-on experience working with Snowflake, Hadoop, Apache Airflow and experience optimising SQL queries on large data
Effective presentation and communication skills, including ability to explain complex data and charts in a concise manner to large cross-functional audiences
Proven problem-solving and cross-functional project work experience
