Job Title: Structural Designer (Experienced)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Designer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed structural drawings and models, ensuring accuracy, compliance with standards, and coordination with engineering and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop 2D and 3D models using tools like AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar software.
- Interpret structural engineering designs, calculations, and specifications.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and project teams.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project changes.
- Perform quantity take-offs and material estimations when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in structural design/drafting (steel/concrete).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Revit, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of structural detailing standards and practices.
- Knowledge of AISC, IS codes, or other relevant design standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in steel detailing or industrial/commercial projects.
- Exposure to BIM workflows.
- Knowledge of connection detailing and fabrication processes.
