Position: Accounts Executive

Location: Hotel Saket 27 – A BMB Resort, New Delhi
Reports To: Accounts & Finance Manager / General Manager
Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, assisting in financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. The role requires close coordination with all hotel departments to ensure smooth financial operations and effective cost control.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Accounts Payable
- Verify supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods received notes.
- Process vendor payments within approved timelines.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain proper records of supplier invoices and payment vouchers.
Accounts Receivable
- Generate guest invoices and corporate billing statements.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain aging reports.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and Sales teams regarding billing issues.
Cash & Banking
- Verify daily cash collections from Front Office, Food & Beverage, and other revenue outlets.
- Prepare daily cash reports and bank deposit slips.
- Reconcile bank statements regularly.
- Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all expenses.
Revenue Audit
- Verify daily revenue reports from all operating departments.
- Ensure all revenues are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Investigate and report any revenue discrepancies.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Assist in monitoring inventory records and stock reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments for inventory verification.
- Support food cost and beverage cost analysis.
- Assist in periodic stock audits.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Maintain proper accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Prepare MIS reports, financial summaries, and other management reports as required.
- Support internal and external audits.
Coordination
- Work closely with Front Office, Purchase, Stores, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Human Resources.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Perform any other accounting-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- Professional qualifications such as M.Com, MBA (Finance), or CA Inter are an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Experience with hotel accounting software (IDS, Tally is preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Salary
₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
Working Hours
As per hotel operational requirements, including weekends and public holidays when required.
Pay: ₹25,000.59 - ₹35,000.93 per month
