Job Description: News Anchor
We are seeking a charismatic, professional, and sharp News Anchor to join our newsroom. As the face of our digital news platform, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and engaging news to our audience. The ideal candidate is someone who can think on their feet, maintain a strong on-camera presence, and handle high-pressure live environments with ease.
Key Responsibilities
- News Delivery: Present news stories, breaking news, and feature segments with clarity, authority, and professional composure.
- Content Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team, reporters, and producers to develop story angles and review scripts for accuracy and tone.
- Interviewing: Conduct live or recorded interviews with experts, public figures, and community members, ensuring insightful and respectful dialogue.
- Scriptwriting & Editing: Assist in writing, proofreading, and refining scripts to ensure they meet journalistic standards and the platform's voice.
- Social Media Engagement: Collaborate with the digital team to promote news segments and engage with the audience across various social platforms.
- Field Reporting: Occasionally report from the field for special assignments or major breaking news events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a News Anchor or Reporter (portfolio/showreel required).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and a deep understanding of current affairs, local issues, and global trends.
- On-Camera Presence: High level of comfort in front of the camera, with excellent diction and the ability to improvise.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with teleprompters, basic video editing, and social media management tools.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, to cover breaking news.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
