Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager with 10+ years of proven experience in procurement, vendor management, purchasing operations, negotiation, and inventory planning.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing and terms, maintaining optimum inventory levels, and ensuring timely availability of materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective purchasing and procurement strategies aligned with business requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and vendors.
- Source quality products/materials at competitive prices while maintaining required standards.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, discounts, and other commercial conditions.
- Maintain strong and professional relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Monitor market prices, trends, availability, and supplier performance.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with stores, inventory, accounts, sales, and management teams to understand purchase requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid stock shortages and operational delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and support effective stock planning.
- Verify supplier quotations, invoices, delivery schedules, and purchase-related documentation.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.
- Develop alternative suppliers to minimize procurement risks and dependency.
- Ensure purchases comply with company policies, approved budgets, and quality requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers, purchase orders, quotations, rates, and commercial agreements.
- Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, quantity, delivery, pricing, or payment terms.
- Provide regular purchase reports, cost analysis, and procurement updates to management.
- Lead and guide the purchase/procurement team effectively.
- Ensure professional, ethical, and transparent procurement practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Good knowledge of market pricing and supplier networks.
- Ability to manage multiple purchases and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP/Purchase Management Software will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and commercial awareness.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹68,000.00 per month
