NY ESTILO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Home Automation Lead to lead the execution of smart home automation projects from concept through commissioning. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a customer-focused approach to delivering high-quality automation solutions. This role involves managing installation teams, coordinating with clients and project stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of luxury residential automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of home automation projects, including design validation, installation, programming, testing, commissioning, and client handover.
- Supervise and mentor automation engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality execution.
- Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot smart home systems, including lighting, HVAC, security, surveillance, access control, audio-video, networking, and motorized curtains/blinds.
- Program and commission platforms such as Control4, KNX, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, RTI, or equivalent automation systems.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, MEP contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review electrical layouts, low-voltage drawings, and technical documentation to ensure project accuracy.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare project execution plans.
- Resolve technical issues during installation and provide post-installation support when required.
- Train clients on system operation and provide complete project documentation during handover.
- Assist the sales team with technical consultations, solution design, BOQ preparation, and project estimations.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest smart home technologies, products, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in home automation, AV integration, or smart building solutions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading installation teams or managing automation projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with one or more home automation platforms (Control4, KNX, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, RTI, etc.).
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VLANs, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, video door phones, home theatre systems, distributed audio, and networking.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and architectural layouts.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturer certifications in Control4, KNX, Crestron, Lutron, or Cisco Networking.
- Experience working on luxury villas, premium apartments, and high-end residential projects.
- Knowledge of IoT, voice assistants (Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit), and cloud-based smart home technologies.
- Project management certification is an added advantage.
