About the Role
We are seeking an experienced APAC Business Platforms Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic business transformation initiatives across the APAC region. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end program governance, demand management, stakeholder alignment, and portfolio delivery while working closely with global platform teams, regional business leaders, and external vendor partners.
As the central orchestration point for the Global Business Platforms portfolio, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities. You will also play a key role in enhancing PMO capabilities, standardizing processes, and enabling continuous improvement across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end demand lifecycle by partnering with business stakeholders to shape requests into well-defined, actionable initiatives.
- Lead and govern project delivery, ensuring initiatives are completed within agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, global platform owners, regional stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery plans.
- Engage with vendor partners to obtain estimates for effort, timelines, and costs, supporting prioritization and planning activities.
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across platform teams to maximize delivery efficiency.
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve PMO processes, methodologies, templates, and governance practices.
- Produce executive-level portfolio reports, dashboards, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain high-quality portfolio data and reporting within portfolio management tools.
- Drive PMO capability development by promoting best practices, coaching teams, and strengthening commercial and project management capabilities.
- Support business case development, project estimation, budgeting, and financial governance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience leading PMOs, project delivery teams, or business transformation initiatives.
- At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale, global transformation programs across complex organizations.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise technology or business platform transformation programs.
- Experience with ERP implementations, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, across APAC countries is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and portfolio governance.
- Demonstrated expertise in resource management, demand management, portfolio planning, and vendor management.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in business case development, estimation, budgeting, and project financial management.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and reporting skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within multinational organizations.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and enterprise business platforms.
- Familiarity with PMO and portfolio management tools.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
