We are looking for Results-driven Shop Floor Supervisor with 5+ years of experience in LT/HT power capacitor manufacturing. Skilled in leading teams of 25+ operators to achieve production, quality, and safety targets.
Role Summary: Supervise daily shop floor operations for LT/HT power capacitor manufacturing and assembly to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs:
· Production Execution: Plan shift-wise production as per PPC plan. Ensure line balancing, manpower deployment, and target output of capacitor winding, impregnation, assembly, and testing.
· Quality Control: Maintain in-process quality per IS 13340, IEC 60831. Control defect % at winding, sealing, and testing stages. Ensure FTR and zero rework.
· Process Discipline: Follow SOPs for winding tension, foil handling, vacuum impregnation, curing, and electrical testing. Prevent oil leakage, bushing cracks, tank bulging.
· Manpower Management: Handle operators, technicians, and contract workmen. Monitor attendance, OT, discipline, skill gaps, and multi-skill training.
· Safety & 5S: Enforce PPE, LOTO during testing, chemical handling, and furnace areas. Maintain 5S, safe material handling, and statutory safety compliance.
· Maintenance Coordination: Log breakdowns, coordinate with maintenance for winding machines, vacuum ovens, welding, and test panels to improve uptime.
· Material & WIP: Ensure timely issue of foil, film, bushings, tanks, oil. Control WIP, scrap of foil/film, and traceability of batch numbers.
Reporting: Maintain shift reports — production, downtime, rejection, power consumption, OEE. Report deviations to Works Manager
Key knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of winding, impregnation, and HV testing processes per IS 13340 / IEC 60831. Proven track record in reducing rejection PPM, improving FTR, and enforcing 5S & safety on the shop floor.
· Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, test specs
· Understanding of electrical safety, tan-delta, capacitance, IR testing
· Man-management and shop floor IR handling
· Basic SAP/ERP for production booking, ISO/IATF documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
· Experience: 3-6 years in capacitor/transformer/switchgear manufacturing shop floor
Standards: Familiar with IS 13340, IEC 60831, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 if automotive
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
