Job Description – Office Assistant
Organization: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran
Location: Landran, Mohali, Punjab
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 Days Working)
Job Summary
The Office Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth functioning of departmental operations, maintain records, coordinate with students and faculty, and assist in daily office activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day office administration and documentation.
- Maintain student and departmental records, files, and databases.
- Prepare letters, reports, notices, and official correspondence.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and visitor queries.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and departmental events.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations using MS Office.
- Coordinate with faculty, students, and other departments for administrative requirements.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure smooth office operations.
- Perform any other administrative duties assigned by the department head.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in office administration, preferably in an educational institution.
- Knowledge of documentation, data management, and office procedures will be an added advantage.
