About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Photo Editor & Print Specialist to join our studio team. In this role, you will handle post-production workflows, high-end photo retouching, and professional in-house photo printing to deliver exceptional physical and digital products to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Editing & Culling: Process RAW files, batch-edit, and color-correct studio and event shoots using Adobe Lightroom.
Advanced Retouching: Perform skin retouching, object removal, backdrop cleanups, and creative composites using Adobe Photoshop.
Print Production: Operate, calibrate, and maintain professional wide-format and fine-art photo printers.
Color Management: Ensure accurate monitor-to-print calibration, apply correct ICC profiles, and select appropriate paper finishes (luster, glossy, matte, canvas).
Finishing & Quality Control: Inspect all prints for color accuracy and defects; perform trimming, mounting, and packaging for client delivery.
Customer Support: Assist walk-in clients with print orders, passport photos, and digital file submissions.
Requirements & Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (portfolio or work samples required).
Practical experience with photo printing equipment and print workflow software.
Solid understanding of color spaces (sRGB, Adobe RGB, CMYK), resolution (DPI/PPI), and aspect ratios.
Sharp eye for composition, exposure, color balance, and detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet production deadlines.
Prior experience working in a photography studio, print lab, or custom framing shop is a strong plus.
