We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Manager with strong knowledge of China imports, international sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing products and raw materials from China, negotiating with suppliers, handling import documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete procurement and purchase activities for domestic and international suppliers.
- Source products, spare parts, raw materials, and components from Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.
- Maintain communication with China-based vendors through email, calls, and online platforms.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, lead time, and shipment schedules.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics teams for smooth import clearance.
- Manage import documentation such as:
- Proforma Invoice
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading
- Certificate of Origin
- LC / TT payment documents
- Monitor shipment tracking and ensure timely material delivery.
- Develop and maintain vendor database and supplier performance reports.
- Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports.
- Ensure proper inventory planning and avoid material shortages.
- Coordinate with Accounts and Stores departments regarding purchase entries and payments.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and import regulations.
- Visit vendor exhibitions, trade fairs, or online sourcing platforms when required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of China import process and international procurement.
- Experience in Alibaba, Made-in-China, Global Sources, or similar sourcing platforms.
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs clearance, and shipping procedures.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong communication and email drafting ability.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, ERP, and inventory systems.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and purchase schedules.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate / MBA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in Purchase & Import operations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers and factories.
- Understanding of international logistics and customs procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and cost-control ability.
- Experience in Automobile, E-Bike, Electronics, EV, or Manufacturing industry preferred.
Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
