Job Summary
We are seeking a highly structured and proactive Administrative Manager to oversee our plant/factory operations in the Tiruppur and Coimbatore region. This role bridges general facility administration with stringent statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will seamlessly handle daily factory upkeep, vendor management, and factory security while ensuring absolute alignment with Tamil Nadu labor laws, factory acts, and local municipal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Statutory Compliance & Legal Liaison
- Labor & Factory Laws: Ensure full compliance with the Factories Act (1948) and the Contract Labour Regulation Act.
- Government Relations: Act as the primary point of contact to liaison with local authorities, including the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), local municipal corporations, the Revenue Department (for land/property taxes), and the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).
- Licensing: Manage timely renewals of factory licenses, stability certificates, and environmental consents to operate.
2. Factory Administration & Facility Management
- Security Management: Manage the on-site security team and protocols to safeguard company assets, inventory, and personnel.
- Asset & Infrastructure Maintenance: Supervise annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), civil repairs, and general utility provisions (water, power, waste disposal) to ensure zero production downtime.
3. Contract Labor & Vendor Management
- Vendor Relations: Source, negotiate, and audit external vendors for housekeeping, catering, and facility maintenance.
- Contractual Attendance: Monitor daily wage/contractual workforce attendance, ensuring contractors strictly abide by basic labor protocols.
Key Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Any Graduate; MBA in HR / General Management or a Post Graduate Diploma in Labor Laws is highly preferred.
Experience: 15+ years of core administration experience inside a manufacturing plant or engineering factory setup.
Language Skills: Absolute fluency in Tamil, English, and Hindi.
Technical Know-how: Sound familiarity with MS Excel for MIS reporting and basic comfort operating within ERP environments.
Key Competencies:
- Conflict Resolution: Proven capability handling ground-level labor disputes or workers' union friction pragmatically.
- Detail-Oriented: A proactive approach to tracking deadlines for compliance calendars so the factory never faces unexpected legal penalties.
