Promotions Assistant
Fully Remote | Part-Time / Full-Time | Music Industry
We are looking for a Promotions Assistant to join our music team and help us grow the reach of our artists and songs across social media and digital platforms.
This is a fully remote position. You only need a smartphone and laptop, along with good communication skills, creativity, organisation, and a strong understanding of social media.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Find social media influencers and creators who can promote our music, particularly on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
- Find lyric pages and music-related social media accounts that post lyrics, music content, edits, reels and similar content.
- Contact influencers, lyric pages and content creators to discuss promotional opportunities.
- Negotiate promotional rates and secure the best possible deals within our budget.
- Build and maintain a database of influencers, lyric pages, creators and promotional opportunities, including their contact details, audience size, rates and previous campaigns.
- Help run our music promotion campaigns from start to finish, making sure agreed content is posted correctly and on time.
- Track promotional activity and results, keeping records of what was posted, where it was posted and how campaigns performed.
- Research new promotional opportunities and continuously find new pages, creators and platforms that could help our artists reach more listeners.
- Discover talented beginner lyricists/songwriters through social media and other online platforms.
- Reach out to promising lyricists and build relationships with new writing talent.
- Source original lyrics from emerging writers for consideration by our singers and music team.
- Help build a network of new and upcoming creative talent.
What We’re Looking For
You do not need previous music-industry experience if you are motivated, organised and willing to learn.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram and social media
- Is confident communicating with people and negotiating prices
- Is good at finding people and opportunities online
- Is organised and comfortable maintaining spreadsheets/databases
- Has an interest in music, artists, songwriting and social media
- Has good attention to detail
- Is proactive and able to work independently
- Is comfortable contacting people professionally through DMs, email and other platforms
- Has a good eye for identifying up-and-coming creators and talented writers
- Can meet deadlines and keep accurate records
