To provide quality eye care services by performing vision assessments, assisting in the diagnosis and management of eye conditions, educating patients, and supporting clinical training while ensuring excellent patient care.

Greet patients politely with a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Explain eye examination procedures and answer patient queries.

Maintain courteous communication and ensure a comfortable patient experience.

Perform vision testing, refraction, and other eye examinations.

Operate and maintain equipment such as NCT, Auto Refractometer, Perimetry, and HFA.

Follow standard clinical protocols for accurate eye testing.

Take patient history and record clinical findings.

Assist in identifying refractive errors and common eye diseases.

Evaluate patients for systemic conditions affecting eye health, such as diabetes.

Provide pre-operative and post-operative eye care.

Refer eligible patients for LASIK counselling.

Educate patients on eye care, spectacle use, and contact lens care.

Provide vision therapy or low vision rehabilitation where applicable.

Clean and disinfect diagnostic equipment before each patient.

Replace chin rest paper and maintain hygiene standards.

Ensure proper maintenance and safe handling of clinical equipment.

Train interns and B.Sc. Optometry students in clinical procedures.

Deliver lectures and practical sessions for optometry students.

Assign monthly clinical postings for M.Sc. students.

Maintain attendance and leave records of students.

Participate in weekly optometry meetings and contribute to departmental improvements.

Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports.
-
Complete all clinical documentation as per hospital standards.
