Mandatory Requirement
- Valid Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate issued by the competent authority is mandatory.
- Candidates without a valid BOE certification will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers as per statutory regulations and safety standards.
- Ensure uninterrupted steam generation to meet production requirements.
- Monitor boiler parameters including pressure, temperature, water level, fuel consumption, and steam output.
- Conduct routine inspections of boilers, auxiliaries, and utility equipment.
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities with the maintenance team.
- Maintain boiler logbooks, operation records, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Boiler Act, Factory Act, pollution control norms, and safety regulations.
- Monitor water treatment systems and maintain proper boiler water chemistry.
- Analyze fuel consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives to improve boiler efficiency.
- Supervise boiler operators, technicians, and utility staff.
- Coordinate annual inspections and certification with Boiler Inspectorate authorities.
- Ensure proper operation of feed water pumps, deaerators, economizers, safety valves, and steam distribution systems.
- Investigate boiler trips, breakdowns, and operational abnormalities, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure availability of fuel, chemicals, spare parts, and consumables.
- Participate in emergency response and shutdown procedures.
- Implement TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives within the utility department.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of high-pressure boiler operation.
- Excellent understanding of steam generation and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes.
- Familiarity with Boiler Act and statutory regulations.
- Experience with coal, gas, oil, biomass, or multi-fuel boilers.
- Understanding of pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and utility equipment.
- Preventive maintenance planning and shutdown management.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards including HAZOP, LOTO, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) is preferred.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech or equivalent.
- Mandatory: Valid Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial boiler and utility operations.
- Hands-on experience operating high-pressure boilers in continuous process industries.
- Experience handling statutory inspections and regulatory compliance.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
