Job Description – Junior Biomedical Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new medical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to the scheduled maintenance plan.
- Attend equipment breakdowns and carry out basic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing, warranty claims, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, repairs, and service history.
- Monitor the performance and functionality of medical equipment across all departments.
- Ensure timely calibration of biomedical equipment as per regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment safety and operational readiness.
- Assist in inventory management of biomedical equipment, spare parts, and accessories.
- Support user training for hospital staff on the safe and proper operation of medical devices.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Report equipment failures, maintenance activities, and recommendations to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with clinical departments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Participate in emergency maintenance and on-call support when required.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
