We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and empathetic Academic Counsellor to guide students toward their ideal academic pathways both in India and overseas. In this dual-focused role, you will be the primary point of contact for students and parents—evaluating their profiles, recommending suitable universities or courses, and managing the end-to-end admission funnel. The ideal candidate blends deep educational insights with strong consultative sales skills to convert inquiries into successful admissions.
Key Responsibilities1. Student Counseling & Profile Evaluation
- Conduct detailed one-on-one counseling sessions (walk-ins, telephonic, or virtual) with students and parents.
- Assess students' academic backgrounds, career goals, financial budgets, and personal preferences to recommend ideal domestic or international programs.
- Provide accurate information on course structures, university rankings, eligibility criteria, and future career prospects.
2. End-to-End Admission & Process Management
- Domestic Portfolio: Manage applications for top-tier Indian universities, colleges, and technical institutes, ensuring adherence to regional admission criteria.
- Abroad Portfolio: Guide students through country selection (e.g., UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe), university shortlisting, and intake timelines.
- Assist students with critical documentation including Statements of Purpose (SOPs), Letters of Recommendation (LORs), resumes, and academic transcripts.
3. Lead Conversion & Sales Performance
- Follow up actively on verified inbound leads generated via digital marketing, webinars, and education fairs.
- Meet monthly and quarterly admission/enrollment targets established by management.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurately update the company CRM with lead statuses, communication logs, and follow-up schedules.
4. Test Preparation & Value-Added Services Support
- Advise international aspirants on English language proficiency tests (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL) and standardized tests (GRE, GMAT, SAT).
- Coordinate internally with the visa and finance teams to assist students with scholarship applications, education loans, financial documentation, and student visa processing.
Required Skills & QualificationsMust-Have Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any stream (Business, Psychology, Communication, or Education fields preferred).
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of proven experience as an Academic Counsellor or Admissions Consultant within a domestic or overseas education agency.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; fluency in local regional languages is highly desirable to connect effectively with parents.
- Consultative Sales Aptitude: Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and target-driven closing skills.
Key Competencies
- Up-to-Date Knowledge: Solid understanding of both the Indian higher education ecosystem and international visa/admission regulations.
- Active Listening & Empathy: A patient, non-judgmental approach to understanding student anxieties and providing structured career clarity.
- Tech Savviness: Hands-on experience working with CRM systems (e.g., LeadSquared, HubSpot, Zoho) and standard office suites (MS Excel, Google Sheets).
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
