Residential Support Worker
Ayurbhavan Residential Care Home is looking for compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting elderly residents and enhancing their wellbeing through person-centred care and emotional support.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will assist residents with their daily routines, promote independence where possible, and help maintain a warm and supportive living environment. The role requires patience, empathy, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Assist residents with mobility and daily routines.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within residents’ living spaces.
- Assist with basic healthcare support, including medication reminders and monitoring residents’ wellbeing.
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the management team.
- Ensure residents are treated with dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Promote a safe and positive atmosphere within the residential care home.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Follow organisational policies, safeguarding procedures, and care standards.
- Applicants must be willing to stay at the residential care home in Angamaly.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in caregiving, support work, residential care, or healthcare assistance is an advantage.
- Freshers with a caring attitude are welcome to apply.
- Preferred qualification: MSW / BSW.
- Good communication skills in English and Malayalam are required.
- Candidates should be responsible, patient, trustworthy, and compassionate.
- Preferred age group: 21 to 35 years.
- Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is compulsory prior to joining.
