Job Overview
As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for preparing structural layouts, foundation plans, reinforcement details, and structural drawings for residential and commercial buildings. You will work closely with architects, CAD designers, and project teams to ensure every design is structurally sound, practical, and compliant with applicable standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Analysis
- Prepare structural designs for residential and commercial projects.
- Design foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and other structural elements.
- Perform structural calculations and analysis where required.
- Optimize designs for safety, functionality, and cost efficiency.
Structural Drawings
- Prepare structural layout plans.
- Develop reinforcement detailing for RCC elements.
- Create foundation and footing drawings.
- Prepare beam, column, slab, and staircase detailing.
- Coordinate structural drawings with architectural layouts.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, and CAD designers.
- Review architectural plans for structural feasibility.
- Revise drawings based on design changes and site requirements.
- Support project teams during execution by providing technical clarification when required.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure structural designs comply with relevant building codes and engineering standards.
- Maintain accuracy and quality in all drawings and documentation.
- Follow best practices in structural engineering and detailing.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of RCC and steel structural systems.
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction practices.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings.
- Excellent technical drafting and detailing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, technical expertise, project complexity, and quality of work delivered. Freelance, contract, and full-time opportunities are available.
