Role Overview
We are looking for a Financial Analyst Associate to support CapSavvy's corporate finance, fundraising, Pre-IPO and transaction-advisory engagements through financial modelling, valuation, financial analysis, due diligence and transaction analysis.
The candidate will work closely with senior advisors and client management teams to analyze financial performance, develop financial models, assess business value, evaluate funding requirements and prepare investor and management materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical and projected financial statements and identify key business and financial drivers.
- Build, maintain and review financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses and sensitivity analyses.
- Prepare revenue, cost, EBITDA, working-capital, cash-flow and profitability analyses.
- Develop financial projections and assess the impact of key operating and financial assumptions.
- Conduct valuation analyses including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions and other relevant methodologies.
- Prepare comparable-company and transaction benchmarking across relevant sectors.
- Support fundraising assignments through financial analysis, valuation, capital requirement assessment and use-of-funds analysis.
- Support Pre-IPO and IPO-readiness assignments through financial analysis, financial modelling and review of financial preparedness.
- Assist in financial due diligence by reviewing financial data, identifying trends, inconsistencies, risks and key diligence questions.
- Prepare financial sections of pitch books, teasers, information memoranda, investor presentations and management presentations.
- Develop investor and transaction analysis, including valuation ranges, funding requirements, dilution considerations and returns analysis.
- Review annual reports, exchange filings, investor presentations and industry reports for financial and transaction intelligence.
- Analyze working capital, debt structure, cash flows, profitability and key financial ratios.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to obtain financial information and clarify assumptions.
- Present analytical findings and key financial insights to senior team members.
- Review work prepared by interns and provide guidance on financial analysis and modelling tasks.
- Maintain model documentation, assumptions, source references and version control.
- Manage multiple assignments and ensure accuracy and timely completion of deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
- B. Com / BBA / BMS / Economics / Finance or equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, transaction advisory or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modelling and valuation concepts.
- Ability to build and interpret financial models.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate financial analysis into concise business and investment insights.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- CA / CFA / CMA / MBA Finance or relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
