Experience: 4–8 Years in Aluminium Doors & Windows, Façade, uPVC, or Metal Fabrication Industry.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in aluminium fabrication is preferred.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer / Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in our aluminium doors and windows factory. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth production, maintain quality standards, achieve daily production targets, and coordinate effectively with the design, stores, procurement, and dispatch teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution
- Execute the daily production plan issued by the Factory Manager.
- Allocate work to fabrication, machining, assembly, glazing, and packing teams.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Monitor work progress and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with the planning team to prioritize urgent project requirements.
Shop Floor Supervision
- Supervise cutting, machining, fabrication, assembly, glazing, hardware installation, and packing activities.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Monitor manpower productivity and machine utilization.
- Maintain discipline and workflow across the shop floor.
Quality Control
- Inspect products during each stage of production.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper assembly.
- Minimize rework, defects, and material wastage.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to resolve production issues.
- Ensure finished products meet company quality standards before dispatch.
Material Coordination
- Coordinate with the Stores team for the timely availability of aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, accessories, sealants, and consumables.
- Verify material availability before starting production.
- Report shortages or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
Production Monitoring
- Track daily production output against planned targets.
- Record completed quantities and pending work.
- Report delays and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure production schedules are met to support timely project deliveries.
Team Management
- Supervise production operators, fabricators, assemblers, and helpers.
- Train new employees on production procedures and quality requirements.
- Monitor attendance and workforce performance.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures.
- Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Report unsafe conditions and accidents immediately.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports.
- Maintain work order and production records.
- Record machine downtime and production issues.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly production reports.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Good knowledge of aluminium doors, windows, ventilators, and glazing systems.
- Understanding of fabrication drawings and production processes.
- Knowledge of aluminium profiles, hardware, and accessories.
- Ability to read manufacturing and shop drawings.
- Basic knowledge of production planning and inventory coordination.
