Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Automation team. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical assembly, machine installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in machine assembly, fitting, conveyors, SPMs, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of automation machines, conveyors, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
- Install and commission machines at customer sites.
- Read and understand mechanical assembly drawings.
- Carry out machine alignment, fitting, drilling, tapping, and mechanical adjustments.
- Install mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, linear guides, couplings, and pneumatic cylinders.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of automation equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults during assembly and machine trials.
- Coordinate with Electrical and Automation teams during machine commissioning.
- Ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed during assembly and installation.
- Prepare daily work reports and maintain service records.
Required Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, Turner, or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of experience in Industrial Automation, Machine Building, SPM, Conveyor Systems, or Manufacturing.
- Freshers with strong practical skills may also apply.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and machine assembly.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for machine installation and service activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits
