We are looking for somebody with experience working remotely for the UK legal sector in some capacity. Ideally, with UK law qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Chargeback defences - you will be responsible for monitoring our payment processors (e.g. Shopify, eBay, Elavon, Klarna), detecting chargebacks, recording them and drafting defences
- Small Claims - you will be responsible for drafting particulars of claims and defences to small claims issued against or from our customers. A good knowledge of CRA 2015 and CCR 2013 is required.
- Commercial Disputes - you will be required to draft pre-action notices in relation to commercial disputes and where legal proceedings have been issued, draft the necessary documents (directions questionnaires, defences, particulars of claim, settlement agreements, notes for hearings, witness statements)
- Case Management - you will be responsible for accurately managing the case management system and updating case files in a timely fashion. You will also be required to monitor the digital postbox and legal@ e-mail inbox.
- Mediation Calls - an early part of the Small Claims process is a court mediation between the parties. This requires being able to obtain a UK phone number to receive calls from the court mediator.
Requirements
- Written and Verbal - clear and professional UK english language
- Ideally, UK law qualifications
- Ideally, UK legal sector work experience
- The use of AI is encouraged but should not be relied upon.
Pay: ₹90,000.00 per month
