The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities involving aluminium enclosures and stainless-steel water storage tanks, ensuring production efficiency, quality, dimensional accuracy, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise sheet metal fabrication activities including CNC laser cutting, shearing, punching, press brake bending, and TIG/manual welding.
Handle fabrication of aluminium and SS304/SS316 components.
Plan and optimize bending sequences, material utilization, nesting, and production processes. Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, BOMs, SolidWorks and CAD models.
Coordinate with welders, technicians, machine operators, and assembly teams.
Ensure dimensional accuracy, proper fitment, structural strength, and overall product quality.
Monitor welding quality and troubleshoot issues such as warpage, porosity, and burn-through.
Supervise stainless-steel tank fabrication and ensure leak-proof TIG welding.
Implement basic Lean Manufacturing and shop-floor improvement practices to reduce scrap and production bottlenecks.
Coordinate surface finishing processes such as powder coating, anodizing, and passivation. Maintain production records, monitor output, and ensure adherence to production schedules.
Train and guide shop-floor technicians and operators.
Required Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
3–5 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing.
Hands-on knowledge of CNC press brake, laser cutting, punching, and welding processes.
Experience working with aluminium and SS304/SS316. Good understanding of tolerances, GD&T, fabrication drawings, and dimensional inspection.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD/CAM software. Strong problem-solving and shop-floor management skills.
Ability to lead and coordinate fabrication and assembly teams.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in industrial enclosures, consumer appliances, medical equipment, water purification systems, or stainless-steel fabrication will be preferred.
