ob Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and responsible OT Technician to assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative activities while maintaining strict sterilization and infection-control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre before, during, and after surgeries.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and emergency supplies.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
- Maintain the sterile field and follow aseptic techniques.
- Handle and maintain OT equipment, including suction, cautery, monitors, and other surgical equipment.
- Receive and prepare patients for surgery and ensure proper identification/documentation.
- Assist in shifting patients to and from OT/recovery areas.
- Perform cleaning, sterilization, disinfection, and proper storage of instruments.
- Follow infection-control and biomedical-waste-management protocols.
- Maintain OT records, checklists, stock registers, and equipment records.
- Ensure availability of emergency medicines, oxygen, and required surgical supplies.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, anesthesia team, and other hospital departments.
- Respond efficiently during emergency surgeries and maintain patient safety.
Qualification:
- Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology / OT Technician course.
- B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology will be an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of surgical instruments and OT procedures.
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts/emergency duties.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
