Key Responsibilities
1. Mechanical Systems
- Oversee operation and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems).
- Maintain boiler systems, hot water systems, and kitchen exhaust systems.
- Ensure optimal temperature control in guest rooms and public areas.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
2. Electrical Systems
- Supervise electrical panels, transformers, LT/HT systems, and distribution boards.
- Maintain DG sets and ensure emergency power readiness.
- Oversee lighting systems, façade lighting, and power backup systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
3. Plumbing & Fire Systems
- Maintain water supply systems, pumps, pressure systems, and storage tanks.
- Oversee sewage treatment plant (STP), effluent treatment plant (ETP), and drainage systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of fire alarm systems, sprinklers, hydrants, and smoke detectors.
- Conduct routine fire and safety inspections.
4. Preventive Maintenance & Compliance
- Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local municipal regulations, fire department norms, and pollution control standards.
- Maintain documentation, AMC contracts, and service records.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and audits.
5. Project & Renovation Support
- Support renovation and refurbishment projects.
- Review MEP drawings and contractor work.
- Ensure projects meet hospitality operational standards.
6. Team & Vendor Management
- Supervise technicians and engineering staff.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
- Ensure safety training and SOP adherence.
7. Guest Experience & Safety
- Respond promptly to guest complaints related to MEP issues.
- Ensure zero downtime of critical systems.
- Maintain high safety standards across the property.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in hotel, hospital, mall, or commercial building operations.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, and fire safety.
- Familiarity with BMS and energy management systems.
- Knowledge of local statutory compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergencies.
