A Pre-Primary teacher should have:
- Strong communication skills (English often required for CBSE).
- Ability to handle young children with patience, care, and empathy.
- Good classroom management for activity-based learning.
- Skills in storytelling, music, craft, rhyme time, and play-way methods.
- Knowledge of phonics, Montessori methods, and NCF-based foundational learning.
- 1–3 years of experience in teaching pre-primary classes (preferred).
- Freshers with proper training are also often considered.
Educational Qualifications
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree (any stream).
- Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECCE / NTT / PPTT)
– Usually 1–2 years duration.
Preferred / Sometimes Required
- B.Ed. (Nursery) or B.Ed. in Early Childhood Care & Education
