About Indigo Art Auctions
Indigo Art Auctions is an art auction house specializing in presenting and promoting artworks through professionally curated auctions, catalogues, digital campaigns, and promotional material.
We are looking for a highly skilled Graphic Designer who can take ownership of the visual communication of our auctions—from premium auction catalogues and artwork presentations to banners, social media creatives, advertisements, and event collateral.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality auction catalogues with strong typography, layouts, artwork presentation, and visual consistency.
- Create auction banners, posters, invitations, brochures, advertisements, and promotional material.
- Design digital creatives for Instagram, Facebook, websites, email campaigns, and online auction platforms.
- Develop visually compelling artwork presentations while maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original artwork.
- Work with artwork images, artist information, lot details, descriptions, dimensions, and pricing to create polished auction materials.
- Maintain consistent brand identity and visual standards across all communication.
- Prepare artwork and designs for both digital and high-quality print production.
- Collaborate with the auction, curatorial, marketing, and management teams.
- Handle multiple projects and deadlines, particularly around auction launches and catalogue releases.
- Ensure accuracy in names, artwork details, typography, pagination, numbering, and other catalogue information.
- Contribute creative ideas for improving Indigo Art Auctions' overall visual presence.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Illustrator and other professional design tools.
- Excellent understanding of typography, layout, composition, colour theory, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
- Strong experience in catalogue and editorial design.
- Ability to work with high-resolution artwork images and prepare files for professional printing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to create both premium/luxury aesthetics and modern digital creatives.
- Good understanding of social media design requirements and digital formats.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor's degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Communication Design, or a related field is required.
Candidates from reputed design/art institutions will be preferred.
Preferred Background
Experience in any of the following will be highly advantageous:
- Art galleries or auction houses
- Luxury brands
- Publishing/editorial design
- Museums or cultural organizations
- Advertising/design agencies
- Fashion, lifestyle, or premium-brand communication
Knowledge or interest in Indian art, contemporary art, artists, art history, or the luxury sector will be an added advantage.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is more than a social-media designer.
The ideal candidate should have the technical and creative ability to independently produce a complete auction catalogue, design a premium auction campaign, prepare print-ready material, and maintain a sophisticated visual identity across all platforms.
Strong portfolio is mandatory. Candidates should be able to demonstrate previous work in catalogue design, editorial layouts, branding, advertising, or other high-quality graphic design projects.
