Job Summary :-
We are seeking a highly practical, energetic Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve the performance of all plant machinery. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and be capable of independently handling machine breakdowns like, (forging presses, power hammers, hydraulic presses, CNC/VMC machines, drilling, milling, grinding, polishing, cutting, and assembly machines) and work aggressively to minimize downtime. The role requires working directly on the shop floor, identifying root causes, and ensuring uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities :-
Electrical Maintenance :-
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, MCC panels, control panels, motors, transformers, switchgear, and electrical wiring.
- Install, commission, and modify electrical equipment and machinery.
- Ensure proper earthing, electrical safety, and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Maintain lighting, power distribution, DG sets, and plant electrical utilities.
Mechanical Maintenance :-
- Carry out maintenance of forging presses, power hammers, hydraulic presses, CNC/VMC machines, drilling, milling, grinding, polishing, cutting, and assembly machines.
- Repair gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, pumps, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and cooling systems.
- Perform machine alignment, overhauling, replacement of worn components, and precision adjustments.
Practical Shop Floor Responsibilities :-
- Attend machine breakdowns immediately and restore equipment with minimum downtime.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using practical troubleshooting techniques.
- Personally perform repairs using maintenance tools and measuring instruments instead of depend solely on external technicians.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure continuous machine availability.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improving reliability and efficiency.
- Fabricate or modify machine parts when required to support production.
- Supervise contractors and ensure maintenance work is completed to quality and safety standards.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance :-
- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of machines and utilities.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, machine history cards, and service records.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Qualifications :-
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience :-
- 6–10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a forging, metal fabrication, hand tools, engineering, or heavy manufacturing industry.
